Ring Roller

An Ebay seller has this item listed and it looks half decent for hobby work, just wondered what members views are, can you see any negative points etc.

It's a handy size, a good selection of roller profiles and not a bad price really.

My concerns would be slippage of the rollers under pressure and what material has been used for the rollers, I know for example the Chinese copies of Metalcraft tooling looks good but is nowhere close to the same quality, wondering if this would be the same.

Yes I know they can be home made but for that price it's hardly worth the hassle of gathering the materials and the diameters are a tad beyond my hobby lathe.

I have managed for years without one but sometimes temptation is....tempting

Yes... the picture of the box section being rolled somehow seems a bit much for a single drive...always suspicious its been done on something more capable and then placed for the photo.

as a lever yes, but not with metal to metal friction in one small roller, my homemade roller suffered from this even with knurled rollers

I made a ring roller based on the design above.
the top roller does slip on any thing that's a bit heavy.
if your going to use it for bending bar's or any materials thats thicker than 3 or 4 mm.
I wouldn't recommend it but thats on mine which is similar to the polish one.
I made one similar to. this and it worked a treat
