Retractable air hose reels?

I am fancying a decent retractable hose reel for the workshop, are there any suggestions for a decent one for under £100?

I like the PCL branded air reels from Screwfix or similar. i have one at home for a couple of years now and no issues at all.

It'll be a no regrets purchase.
Think that mine is a cheapy Nielsen thing, the original hose of which was utter rubbish, but mechanically, it has been very sound indeed.
Getting air hoses suitably stowed is a source of wonder, amazement, and delight.....

there ok for light duty ls not much use for spray guns as the moisture collects in the coils and chucks the water out and you get loss of cfm with smallish bore

Ideal for light air tools, though, and the repeatable compactness of the hose coiling is a revelation....

I bought a wolf branded reel, it's okay, the hose has failed at the output end, but gets a lot of abuse. I swapped the fittings for pcl xf. Wider bore.

Do not get one of the ones with a hard plastic hose.

Recommend a rubber hose at least 3/8 bore and a swivelling reel if possible but it's not hard to make your own pivot.

Would an in line air & oil trap before the hose reel solve the moisture problem /condensate . Obviously after giving an initial 3 second purge of free air every session of use ......... before connecting the spray gun ?

That really does look a decent hard use reel.

I bought one air line reel in Aldi about 15 years ago for around £25 or so. The hose perished inside a year so they sent me another and didn't want the other one back. That also perished so I bought two coils of decent looking hose off eBay (yellow and black striped) and they've been great ever since. Incredible value!

Not really, the warm air from the compressor will cool down after use then condense out to form moisture in the line, you’d probably get most of it out by uncoiling it and purging it, I doubt that 3 seconds would be enough though.

I've used retractable hosereels for spraying paint for years now. I'm not doing automotive quality finishes, but I've still not had issues with moisture. I have a small dedicated filterset that plugs in between the wall mounted reel and the portable reel.

Ebay cheapie in a metal frame 1/2 inch rubber hose 15 mtrs long open hose reel, been up for two years in a truck workshop.
Possbly Nielsen make?
First one was £85 then a few months later second one was £115.
Pcl in last workplace utter crap always going wrong.
