Hi all,
I have taken on a restoration of a 1965 VW Split screen,Iam a Mechanic by trade and a self taught panel beater i have done lots of projects over the years but none on this level, the VW is pretty bad rust wise it was brought in from the states and had rust pitting all over the roof and body,so the owner has stripped it and had it sand blasted by a mobile man in a van and is now left in a dry garage.
Can any one tell me the right procedure of what to do next?
Not much rust left after blasting but its a week left untouched now, whatever the guy used blasting it the body is left like 60grit paper, there is lots of cutting and welding, filling to be done but i want to seal it asap,i have been reading on here about epoxy primer looks like good stuff but i have new used this before can some one advise me any help much appreciated,
Thanks,Pics to follow
