becareful with ebay unless new but hardener is easy obtainable on there
it also depends on how much you want to do parm the bigger the area get the medium to bigger tub it does last a while but also goes off as you already know
i have a full tub of paint and i think thats gone off as well but will have to see if it has or not
sometimes better off buying new from the main store is best option

Agreed, have some knocking around the workshop which gets used rarely and seems to store well

East Coast Fibreglass supplies do 1kg tins of polyester with hardner plus all the matt, gel coat etc.

Get the real stuff from East Coast or another. The Halfords type stuff belongs in the bin. I have plenty of professional resin here if you were not so far away!

If its just a kg then just get any Polyester resin with Cat.

If its a repair, polyester is not all that good at sticking to things, and wont adhere to itself all that well. Best uses are for new parts and bodging cheap cars... yes its just a plant pot.
Epoxy will work with your glass matt and costs about the same. Sticks like sht to a blanket and better working time IIRC, easier to use.
Never used them but this shop was linked by somone on here and bookmarked..
