the bottom aluminium torch I have is over 40 years old. its a nice light weight and a good torch

That last one looks like a Smith. I have my dad's torches, he stopped using them in the late 80s or early 90s.
This one is a finnish made torch I believe, it's probably from the early 70s, it's old because it has barbed hose connectors on the torch body instead of threads. To bring this up to spec I plan to take short lengths of hose and fit thread connectors so I can put check valves on it.
Cutting attachment injector based
Welding tips, also injector based. Most stuff in the nordic countries is injector based for some reason.
Both kits, the 2nd one also has it's own cutting attachement. It's the black handled one and it's an Elga D75. Both torches are compatible with the AGA X11 torch system which is the main name in gas welding up here.
I've had these apart and cleaned everything really well. I still want to clean them further using blue gold oxygen cleaner before putting into use.

I used an Aga welding/cutting set for years, the only reason I stopped using it was there always seemed to be a delay in getting hold of the tips sealing washers. I was forever swapping them around between tips and cutters.

Might as well put sometihng here, was a reply for another thread.
About upgrading the old torch, I think it's a pretty simple operation, I can buy these hose extension kits for gas welding:

I just fit the torch itself with say 10cm of hose and I fit one part of the extension kit. Leaving the male part in makes the torch identical in hookup to any modern torch and I just hook up the regular double hose with check valves to the torch.

I was browsning the net and got into reading about oxypropane on american welding forums.
So many people seem happy with their oxy propane setups, even people who gaveup their acetylene.
I do want a proper O/A setup eventually... but I already have a propane bottle and these torches are easy to convert to propane, all I need are new cutting tips for the cutting attachment really. This made me think maybe I should dedicate the older torch to a propane and use the black handled one with acetylene when I get that. Then I only need oxygen for now.
