Kent - Yes £320 is about what I was quoted already and I was hoping to find someone who could manage it for less than £80 per box...

Julian - Will defo send you the front panels over when I have finished them and get a quote from you.

Good luck on that one, just as one off each I doubt you will get more than very small amounts off. You see without allowing anything for the gear used and other overheads businesses go under. I am assuming you want a proper job done mind. Even working for the very minimum skilled labour rates and forgetting everything else its 12.50 hour + NI etc.

Hi all

Thanks to all for the many useful comments and suggestions to this post.

On reflection I have decided to try and make one of the boxes out of MDF and see how that turns out. If that doesn't work out then I think I will get a MIG welder and have a go myself - something I have always fancied at having a go at

I will finish the front panel DXFs shortly and send these to a couple of people who have messaged me for a price as these will need to be cut on a machine.
