Hi there folks
Have just joined and am posting this small job request, as all of the quotes I have received (if they have even bothered to answer) from firms (local and not so) I have contacted have been stratospheric!
I would like a price for some to make me 4 metal boxes in mild steel. The dimensions are all 4 inches deep by:
Box 1: Width = 7" Height = 7"
Box 2: Width = 6" Height = 5"
Box 3: Width = 5" Height = 14"
Box 4: Width = 4" Height = 12"
Each box should have a 1/2" tab on the front and a 2" tab on the back. If both sets of the tabs would result in a less stable box then a solid back would be fine (so long as it had a 2" hole on the back to feed some wires through). Probably looking at around 1-2 mm thick to make sure they are solid enough. I would only need a single one of each box.
I am also attaching pictures of two of the boxes so you can hopefully get an idea about what I want.
PS On the images it says 1/4" tabs. Please ignore this as 1/2" is what I will need.
I have also contacted a few plastic manufacturers as well and they haven't been much less than the metal ones...
I would also like the front plates done as well probably in 1-2mm mild steel as well. However I am working on the drawings at the moment. Once done I will be able to supply DXF files for those.
Many thanks in advance.
