Hi new here,
I need to replicate a metal frame made of box section steel with a few various angles and would like your views on the best way to replicate its size/shape the most accurately. As you can tell, I'm fairly new to metal fabrication but I know my way around a welder fairly well, it's the measuring bit that I usually suffer on... So what are your suggestions for tackling something like this? I thought to buy an angle finder tool, measure each angle on the existing frame and measure length inbetween each one, then cut the desired angle and butt join. Sound simple enough or is there a better, more simpler way?
