To add fuel to the heating debate () I am situated in a rural North Norfolk village right on the Broads, no mains gas even though we have the Bacton gas site only a few miles away. Oil is the fuel of choice for the majority, bottled gas has a few takers and wood burners are popular, and some of the older properties have all electric (as is the property we are moving to) As we have to start from scratch with the heating system it is the ideal time to make a future proof choice on what fuel we go for. Hence my initial post, I do like the idea of a air source pump combined with a oil boiler as a back up but not keen on having an oil tank again, bottled gas still looking favorite if I cant get an air punp that will run the heating sufficiently. so still in a dilemma
