Top tip if you ever have to. Cut as many legs as possible then desolder the remaining ones. E.g. Cut off the legs, desolder the tab then remove the pins one by one. Far less risk of damage to the pcb that way.Along with that, what's the chance of me being able to successfully remove and replace this with a standard 15w soldering iron and ordinary solder. I do have a soldering heat gun but I have never used that for surface mount stuff (normally I use it for shrinking heat shrink sleeving). I'm far more comfortable with an ordinary tip iron.
