Fitted a couple of PIR half lanterns to my gate pillars some time ago. They are admittedly only IP44. They came from Screwfix/B&Q I think. They were sat in a damp shed for some time before fitting.
Wired them both up and both are dead. Only two controls on them, time on and sensitivity.
There's 230V going in but nothing coming out. Yes, I've tried it in the dark!
The PIR modules are these, a GYQ-06 (net photo):
I've had one apart and there does appear to be some damp damage on the back of the PIR board. I'll try some contact cleaner and a dry, then recoat with lacquer but not hopeful
New PIR modules would be good but I can't find them. Possibly on a German site but silly money.
There must be a tiny PIR module I can fit in it's place? Maybe in a printed adapter/housing?
