Replacement capacitor, question

Hi all, I have currently got a friends machine, its a thermal arc 130 gts which has been dropped, we have hopefully located a problem in that there are some capacitors in an output filter which have been damaged in the fall, we have currently sent of to RS components for the required parts and are waiting on their arrival, before we set about replacing them I was wondering ( I have been doing some reading on google) if they have a polarity, its ceramic disc type these are one type of the 2 bought

the others are similar but smaller.

They can be fitted either way round, but it would be as well to look for a + sign printed on them.

If you are CERTAIN that they are ceramic then no problem BUT if they are tantalum caps (which look similar) then they will be polarized and have a mark or symbol to indicate correct insertion.

Those caps have no polarity. Especially since they are rated for AC use.

Thanks for the replies, the only + sign which is on them is in a symbol with a S referring to Switzerland's Certificated Body, so if there is a + sign on them it will be pretty obvious to see.

Well capacitors and resister replaced, but still on joy, will have to dig deeper into the problem to locate the fault, we still have a dead short somewhere,
