Worcester or Vaillant, the trouble with Worcester boilers now is many of their water carrying parts are made from plastic which gets brittle over time making one repair lead to another when they are disturbed and it's not uncommon for the plastic to split needing replacement.
That’s interesting to hear - talking with the British Gas guy who came out last week, he said the same thing.

After only 42 years in the job ( before I retired) and having fitted 100's of Worcester boilers I bow to your greater experiencevaillant boilers also do use plastic parts in the worst place going so not only a worcester problem
BG just want sell. I think that tgeir technicians get a bonus for selling a new boiler, but I may be wrong.
So.... what boilers do we rate highly??? It seems that Valliant and Worcester are "not as good as they used to be" and Myson have gone. What about Ideal?
