Took the knackered gearbox out of my friends clio yesterday, not the nicest of jobs with having to drop the subframe

I usually get help to get the new one in but cant get anyone tomorrow so does anyone know of any simple ways of getting these in without too much lifting.

I suppose the engine being level is a bonus for sliding the gearbox in but not always practical.

Use a trolley jack to lift the gearbox. Or a spreader bar across suspension turrets, and multiple bungee cords until gbox float.
