Removing powder coating

Is there stripper out there to remove powder coated steel,i've been given quite a few lenths of 16mm dia tube thin walled and its coated in grey,i've tried a bit of nitomors but hasn't touched it,nor will heat,its a pain the backside sanding it back to bare steel and fiddley with a disc sander.
Any ideas?

I'd be interested to know how you get on with Paramose if you give it a try, I've heard mixed reports.

I had use paramose AS10 when i was high pressure cleaning/graffiti removing,really powerfull stuff,but dont know if it will losen powder coating,i know where i can get a small sample so may give it a try.

Funny that, I've used Nitromors on powder coat in the past and it did work, slowly, but it worked.

very much off topic here but if you spray nitromors on maggots they explode, misspent youth!!

I would have recommended Nitromors in the past as the old stuff used to shift powder a treat, the new stuff is less good but it does soften it enough to make wire brushing more effective.

Well got a bit of AS10,not much difference TBH,it does lift it a bit more but you still have to sand it off to get to bare steel,oh well done 5 lenths got another 35 to do,actually i only need 12 in all,the rest can wait another day,BTW,the can of nitromors is about 2 years old,perhaps its losts its strenth.............?

The old Nitromors was based on methylene chloride, which is very volatile so it could have very well evaporated off.

The older white stuff always worked well on polyester powder coat, you have to bear in mind that not all powder coat is polyester though, I've never tried it on epoxy powder coat for instance.

is it really worth it?
for £7.80 for a 6mtr length and this is for erw 16mm tubing.
this inc delivery cost/vat/tax etc as I buy a load etc.
