Any tips.on the above? I have a couple of 9ft long corrugated cement roof sheets that have blown off of one of the sheds in the wind. To replace them I need to tuck one side of the new sheets under an undamaged one. The current sheets are secured with big nails. What's the best way to get these nails out without damaging the good sheet? A long crowbar would lever them out but I'm worried that the only place to lever is on the good sheet and that may crack it even if I use a plank to spread the load.

Can you get the end of a bolt cutter up underneath and nip them off?

You can grind heads off or wind them out to remove but, in your situation, you need to wind them out as you need them completely out of the way to pass the new sheets in.
Cut the spats off with a Stanley or grinder enough that you can bit the mole grips in the middle of their toothy mouth bit. Then they'll either wind out or snap at the purlin.
Drill new holes at an angle for the new nails, to miss the old ones.
Don't forget you'll have to grind so e bits off the corners of the new sheets to let them fit right.
Also consider if any/either sheet could be replaced with a skylight. Much easier to work with and can often fudge a temporary repair from underneath for a partly cracked sheet that'll last a winter or forever.

I didn't know about cutting the corners. How much do you cut? I'll try and take a look at the other sheets up there and hopefully it will be obvious!

Yeah, it should be obvious. Basically you trim two of the X4 sheets on a corner joint so the joint isn't X4 sheets thick. Don't risk falling through the roof.

Careful if getting up there they crack easily if older. Try cutting nails from underneath with recipsaw or multitool, if you dont want to ruin the sheet.

Reckon this is a good suggestion...could also use a hacksaw blade maybe.
Trouble is, if I cut underneath, I can't remove the old nail without removing the sheet. To remove the sheet I'd need to remove the whole row to the edge of the roof. If I leave the old nail end, will the screws for the new sheet go in too wonky to seal round their rubber boot well?

Cut the old nail off flush...hammer in a new nail or screw next to it.

I'll try winding out first. If that works all good. I can do that via the hole in the roof from the missing sheet!
I need to put some boards up there anyway. The whole roof is covered in moss and doesn't drain. It needs carefully sweeping off. Wont be a fun job as it's a big shed (although the smallest of the four!)

nowadays you can use a multitool or even a recip saw
to get a new sheet under you need a wedge piece to hold up the sheet and slide the top in first or the bottom your choice tops easier if you slot it in you can remover the wedge and slide over the sheet just keep the top pushed in
but to be honest you can just slot another piece over and then just screw it down just make sure you chalk line where your woods are to rescrew down again

Grind a better slot in the bolt head head with a slitting blade or a pair of them side by side. Use a brace out the 12 " socket set & a quality screw driver insert in a 1/4 or 1/2" socket and slowly .
Then wind them out , use of mole grips optional once enough is proud above the asbestos
