Removing corrosion from throttle body

Never thought about it for cleaning, battery acid and a battery charger might well work.
I remove taps/bolts from aluminium with it. It leaves the ali clean with a grey
sort of natural anodised looking colour. Worth a try on some scrap.

Since Sulphuric acid is used for anodising I think that you'll find that that's exactly what it is

Are their any strong acid products for cleaning alloys? Every one I've ever tried has been strongly alkaline!

@Screwdriver Ketchup usually contains both acetic and citric acid and would very probably do it!

Soda blasting brings carbs up nicely. Will a bit of corrosion like the picture really result in bad things happening though?

Can it be any old rhubarb, or does it have to be "premium rhubarb" grown in the wondrous "Rhubarb Triangle" of West Yorkshire ?

I can send you some industrial rhubarb from East Yorkshire.

scotchbrite with wheel cleaner , then wd40 for a daily driver

aquablast if it needs to be its very best

white vinegar,
cleans crusty anodising quite well...
I use it on my Suzuki engine parts.. carbs, pipes, etc
with a soft toothbrush then wipe clean and protect with clear laquer
