There's nothing OCD about it, if you spend twelve hundred quid on a kitchen appliance, you want to keep it nice.
Nice machine btw Graham, I'm very jealous.![]()
That would buy a lot of Nescafe/Aldi own brand . . .
A mate makes a big deal of his own mix of stuff he buys from some coffee supplier, does something complicated with it, takes some time, and presents it as though I ought to be in wonder . . .
I can't tell the difference from a spoonful of instant in a mug, followed by a dollop of boiling water and another dollop of whatever milk is still relatively liquid in the fridge . . .![]()
....well, if I'm ever around at your house I'll have a tea please!!
Was just looking a while ago - the protective jaws come in sets of 3 pairs and are not expensive. If they are anything like the ones for my Rothenburger spanners they may be a bit soft - but then I guess that is the point!Another tool I didn't know I needed.....how durable are the jaws?

Sadly we don't have a 3D printer and I can't go out buying even more bulky equipment!
Thanks for that very generous offer Alex and for all the suggestions from everyone else.I've got my 3d printer just about up and running, it might not be anywhere near as polished as other people could do it, but if you're in a bind I can have a go at a print for you? It'll be white PLA
Ideally you'd have a 3D file but if not then I can throw something together in solidworks from a drawing.
It might take me a couple of days because it's quite a busy week coming up but the offer is there
Happy to print anything that will fit on my -ringer but I will need a file sending to me that’s ready to go as I’m unable to design anythingThere are enough people on here that can produce them for you, I see that you have had one offer already and perhaps even @Parm would be along soon?
What sort of torque would they be done up to? That will determine whether a full spanner or an insert for a larger socket would be best.
