regulator with no flow meter

I have a argon single stage 2 gauge reg and was wondering if i needed a flowmeter for it or if i can do without? and just use the bar/psi gauge already on there for flow? will putting a flowmeter on save me gas? what bar do you set your flowmeters to?

The flow meter will give a more accurate/precise reading so may well save you on gas.
The flow is set by litres per minute rather than pressure. You need around 10-15 LPM.

can i join it on to the 2 gauge reg or do i need to take the psi gauge of to fit the flowmeter?

The flow meter (assuming a pea-shooter type) screws onto the outlet on the regulator where your hose would normally connect. The hose then screws onto the outlet of the flow meter.

bingo... when i screw one of these on do i need to pay attention to the psi gauge or not?

The pressure gauge (on the left of the regulator) tells you the contents in the bottle. So other than telling you when the bottle is nearly empty, not really that important while you are welding.
I normally set the gauge on the right of the regulator (flow rate) to say 20lpm, then reduce it on the flow meter to between 10 and 15 lpm depending what i am welding/position/location etc.

yea i new about the left reg just wanted to no about the right hand reg becuz that will still be on there with the flow meter connected to the outlet.

my pressure gauge on the right is in psi wht should i set that to?
