Regulator guage.

I have an argon regulator (bottle pressure and flow rate guages.) I had a slight accident and the flow rate guage got smashed. It doesnt effect the regulator but i need to get a new flow rate guage as its not my regulator. Is it possible to just but the regulators?

Hmm, as an alternative, fit a plug.

Then buy a flowmeter, but open the needle valve all the way.

Unwind the regulator so there is no flow. Then when setting up the welder set the flow carefully by tightening down the regulator knob.

I do this because my flowmeter has a slight leak, so setting pressure as low as possible it's neglible, more importantly I still use less gas (it's an old flowmeter with a rotameter 'bullet' inside of it instead of a ball bearing, and the gas saving is there compared to the inaccurate reading).

Just an idea, not ideal, but the 'flow rate' gauge on my argon reg was never looked at anyway after a flowmeter was added.
