Now i know what most people will say when i mention converting my AT165 to scratch TIG.
But i already have the torch kit, I just need a regulator and bottle of argon. I will eventually purchase a decent AC TIG when the funds are available. Probably at the end of the year, but for now it wouldn't cost much to get me up and running and have a bash at scratch start DC.
The product code for the correct regulator in conjuction with the AT165 is available for around 50 quid. However i would like to know if there is a regulator that will suffice for the AT165 torch and be compatible with other machines. In other words can i get away with buying just one regulator that will do the trick for my inverter and be usable on any other machine or will have to buy two separate regulators.
As you can tell i know nothing about them.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
