It's back together, as I said the guy at the shop had just filled the ports with oil, which had done a good job of collecting everybit of grit and crud into a paste that was holding the valve open on the filler side. Having stripped it down it appears to have been missing a washer between the hammer spring and the hammer, so I machined a top hat out of stainless , also acts as a damper as raiders suffer from resonance of the spring and valve when firing. Seems a little smoother but I don't posses a chrono to test it and I haven't had a chance to beat at any targets yet
