Recrowning a rifle barrel

Been plinking with my little webley raider pcp today, and it's grouping all over the place, ran it over the chrono and its firing pretty consistent power throughout, so now in wondering if A) the barrel is bent or B) the muzzle crown is a bit snarled up and needs recutting. I'm going to run the barrel between centres on the lathe and run a dti along on the carriage, should tell me if there's anything significant going on there. If not that leaves me with re crowning . Bloke at the gunship reckons it's a 20* crown, everything else I've read States an 11* cut. Which is right and what's the best way to cut it

Just give it to a gunsmith to sort. Is there a mod on it if so that can have an
adverse affect on the pellets. Also the barrel could be shot out.

It's always had a mod on, never affected anything up until today. Not had all that many shots through it so doubt it's shot out. Don't see any reason to take it to a gunsmith and End up with a bill that's half the value of the rifle

Is the barrel free floating?

Have you or a previous owner cleaned the barrel with a pull through ? They destroy the last inch or so of the rifling at the muzzle.

Pellets are hunter fields, same as I've always put through it , or jsbs which it generally likes too. Pellets are fine

I've run a soft patch through once about two years ago, but it grouped like crap till it releaded the barrel again, so I've never bothered again, just a bit of pellet lube on occasion

Mods clean, stripped it down today , it's nearly new anyway so didn't think it'd be goosed. No clip marks any where

Barrel is semi free floating, secured breech end obviously, and a barrel clamp at the end of the air cylinder , but it's not hard fixed, just uses a rubber o ring to centralise it

Is the front fixing tight?
My fx2000 grouping started to swell turned out the front fixing was loose

Seems to be fairly tight, within reason

Near enough! I was thinking hatsan, which IS a webley in drag

The fx2000 was made by axior (spelling ) and rebadged as webley
