Get some mild steel bar and make them, you can buy it by the metre and it will last ages unless you need them to be knurled. I think they are about 25mmx10mm.
Record do have a few different jaws for some reason,Mine are attached using two screws in each but the taper on the jaws and screws is quite slow and not as shown in Grahamgkd's link.
Hello Langy.
Will check pitch and report back, My vise is marked 36P.I do know that the fixing holes are slightly of ctr height so that you can not turn the jaws to get a nice new un-chipped edge etc.
Steve,
sent you some info, old pics and Vice ref numbers and some links for jaws to you by E mail.
Stan
Record seemed to do 3 types of "engineering" vice the 6" models were a Mechanics No6, a Fitters No 25, and an Engineers heavy duty either 112 or 112P (quick release or plain screw)
Hello Langy.
The 36P is cast in, raised on the right hand side of the movable jaw about 1" high, I have just measured up and jaws with the slow taper and jaws with the normal countersink are the same pitch ctrs at 4"
Measured the slow taper screws and the included angle appears to be 40*
Looks like mine have been ground off for some reason Gordon
