I looked to see what vices i had today and i realized i have around 10, But only use the one on the bench as all the others are sat around, I must get round to looking at makes and types.

Only 10! Winchboy had 15 in my car last week going to the Autojumble, then he has two of his own and I have 6 or 7.

never noticed the names on some vices,

These small ones below were in a box, The one on the left i used when i was young to cut up mecanno
and the one that looks like an anvil belonged to a model railway guy.

Nice collection but you've mounted your vice far too far back. It wants mounting with the vertical lines of the fixed jaw aligned with the edge of the bench. This allows you to grip long things. (Stolen image from the net)

Never noticed before but it does seem far back, I think it was mounted before the bench had the front edge added on which is a piece of 2" x 3" fitted upright, It was a few years back though.
