The shaft's diameter is 1" (25.4mm) which means that the blade must be installed with a bushing. the reason for using it is that I have it already, otherwise I have to produce a new shaft, pillow blocks and so on.

I guess you know that the blade needs to be installed on the shaft such that the cutting forces tend to tighten the securing nut.
That has implications for the design/layout of the rest of the machine.
How are you driving the shaft? Or more specifically, what diameter pulley will you put on the other end of the shaft to the blade? Bigger pulley, larger distance between shaft centre and underside of table.
What rpm does a 300mm blade spin at? What rpm does your motive power produce? What size does that imply for the drive pulley?

From what I learnt, it should be around 6000rpm and since I have a 2800rpm motor, I'll install 2:1 pulley ratio (which means the smaller pulley is installed on the shaft, so I foresee no problem with the issue of distance from the underside of the table) in order to achieve that speed.
Since my cheapie 250mm table saw emitted magic smoke & shuffled off, I've been doing my camper ply and frameworks using a mitre saw & a 165mm track saw (not pricey ones).
The Macallister track saw has been a revelation & as you say, SO much easier and more accurate than the table saw.
(I bought an extra metre of Makita track for £26 online which is useful also).
I have 40t blades in both saws to get cleaner cuts.
