Can't honestly recommend if you won't indicate what you want it for.Looking around for a used carbide chop saw, budget of 100 quid. Any to avoid ?
One of these going for £100 near me ?

I've got an old 355 one and the cost of blades means that I use a grinder more than I would otherwise.Looking around for a used carbide chop saw, budget of 100 quid. Any to avoid ?

It very messy and very very noisy. I haven’t had any blade issues yet but probably depends how much it gets used. I still think they are a good tool.I swapped my bandsaw for the top of the range evolution....couldn't wait to get rid of it and get another bandsaw. Noisy, messy and expensive blades.
Just not for me!
Still a big step up from those horrible abrasive sawsIt very messy and very very noisy. I haven’t had any blade issues yet but probably depends how much it gets used. I still think they are a good tool.
I agree the clamps are a bit feeble, but I don’t think the saw imparts as much cut force to the workpiece so havent found the need to really clamp hard.I "upgraded" to an evolution rage 185 saw from a Parkside abrasive chop saw. Wish I had kept the money in my pocket, doesn't seem any more accurate as the base and clamp just bends as you tighten the work piece.
I suppose the only upside is that the disc doesn't get smaller with use and there is no sparks.
