Recommend some LED high bay lights

As above, the choices on the bay are wide. Going to replace the old incandescent high bay lights in my workshop and hopefully save some money on the bills!
Ceiling height is about 18ft if it matters!

Ive been out of the game for ages so no idea whats available now but at that height your looking for low bay fittings, you may even be better off with the 600x600 flat panel fittings?

I have 6 x 5' long led versions of fluorescent lights, if that makes sense, in my 12 x 8 m shed. Lights it up like day.

I really like them in my garage workshop much nicer diffuse light than fluorescent tubes. Not sure how well they would work at height.

there only 40 watt ideal in suspended ceilings or in there own surface patrasses .not a lot of use high up ive just fitted over 300 in a school in place of 4 tube flouros with difusers . u can fit less of them and double the light output

fit some 100w led floodlamps on the gable ends facing in over and a couple on the roof joists down the middle then fit a few 5 foot led battons on chains . thats all i generaly fit in barns or workshops . got the best of both types of lighting then

Personally I prefer Ansell fittings, a little more spend but in my experience they are reliable.

But you are going to getwt as many different opinions as you get replies with a question like this, everyone has their own option of what is good, and what the criteria are that make something good.

Have a look in search there should be a few threads on them
We have big workshops with 200watt High bay lights & wall mounted led strip changed from M.H. & fluorescent, lecy bill all most a joy to see they were changed at least 5 years ago not had any of the hi bays fail or the cheap strip lights a couple of out door floods went TU would recommend doing it

Our 250w outdoor light recently packed up, the PIR stopped working and I decided we don't need that part and I bought a couple of 15w COB LED floods and they are brilliant lights. How bright will 100w LEDs be ?

can also thoroughly recommended the JCC and the Illimina fittings, also Bell lighting do one almost the same and they are excellent fittings too! I have done some big engineering workshops with the 200w JCC ones recently. 14m high roof and had to be just below it to miss the top of the gantry Crane, are amazing output only put in 8 and took out twice as many 400w metal halide fittings!

A bit of a hijack and a bit OT, but can you get led replacement lamps for MH high bays, similar to led tubes where you bypass the ballast etc and wire the socket straight to the mains 240v?

There’s a variety of led hi/low bay on the bay of thieves, I think I’m going to have to take a punt!

I fitted some vtac 100w led floods to our stable barn. I think its 7m ish at the apex. They light the shed well and i will be putting them in the workshop to replace the metal halides in there soon.

I used led Ip65 strip lights in our barn, supplied by an outfit who do lighting for agriculture dairies etc.

lojer lighting. He had some calculator to work out how many and what size required depending on your needs. Seeing, or seeing well enough to read small print etc.

what arrived is an led strip light similar to many online offerings, Ive been really pleased. Its a much brighter light than strip lights etc. I have 8 x25 watt at about 14ft high. Far less than I thought I needed.
