Recommend me a quick change tool post

well any recommendations for a quick change tool post and holders? It's for my Kerry 11" so will need to be a sturdy piece of kit and hold decent tooling

Sadly that was my experience on the Dixon but it was also due to copies of Dixon holders

My solution was to re grind the post and all the holders and make a note of the vee centres for future holders

This was done on a J&S 540 they all fit perfectly now

I've got the Aa size on my Myford and use the larger size on the Colchesters at work.
Quality of the clones is good, the genuine set at work fits the clone without any problem and the clones fit the genuine just the same.

I'm happy with my dickson toolpost. The only problem has been some of the coppied holders don't fit. it seams that tolerences from the originals have been exceeded over the years. The Swiss ones look to be a better design, but your paying the price for that. an 11" will take a bigger holder than my Boxford. I've got a T0 but you'll probably need a T1 or possible a T2.

I have the 200 series (Aloris copy I think) from Arc Euro trade, came as a set and you can buy separate holders for reasonable or make your own. Other retailers are available!

I use a multifix b on my harrison, although they are expensive for the original outlay on a swiss block and a few toolholders I bought as a job lot, I've managed to get a tidy amount for chinese ebay set money by keeping my eye out of a few years s/h.
The only difference in the clones is depth of hardening, and the indexing of the splines. Which only matters if you take them off a million times and make bespoke holders for them that expect the splines to be all the same angle to sit right which the swiss ones were but not the ones of susect arentage I picked up later, then find out they don't and have to remove the spline bit of your holder design and just rely on the pins to hold them.

I like them a lot, the only downside is its difficult to make your own toolholders unlike dovetail based ones.

This is what I use on my Harrison L6, I didn't buy it from here but considering the price I paid there's no where else it could have came from.

Cheap as chips if it clears customs without being charged.
