My mum used to hoover the lawn of conifer droppings !

For the pedantic, it was using a genuine Hoover machine, a Constellation. Which TBH I wish I still had.

She had more than one over the years. All pink as far as I remember. Back then, I guess they were the Henry and Henrietta of the time Maybe that's where Numatic got the idea ?

I hoovered my front grass after I had all my PVC guttering and stuff replaced. The guys used a chop saw, spewing white plastic chips all over the grass. Not the drive, where they could have swept them up, they did it all on my lawn.

some workers are not the brightest of buttons i saw a plumber cutting a square out of a plastic bath pannel for the waste pipe face down on the concrete path the customer went right off it
