Ahh, you need a cheap grease gun and an employee then .just need something to do an hours work every 4 weeks
Yep. Only gun out of ten or so different brands that would cope with using a cartridge or two a week.
There’re great if everything is moving, but a lever is a must for seized things, it’s never ending you end up with 10 different grease guns to make life easy.
My old Alemite gun is the basic long-lever (two-handed) type, and it has functioned perfectly since I was in college, which is a LONG time ago, and it was already used when I got it. It's super easy to reload and very heavy duty. Since mine isn't a handy pistol-grip model, the LockNLube coupler is great, as it lets me use both hands for pumping without worrying about the coupler pulling loose and squishing grease all over.Without a doubt the best guns available are alemite pistol grip. Never get an air lock so easy to use and change cartridges.
@dan.taylor.1 In my previous response, I thought that you might have been referring to the diameter of a clamp-on coupler being too large to fit down into the hole for a recessed nipple, and as I mentioned, the clamp-on coupler I have happens to be a bit too large in diameter to fit into the holes for a couple of recessed Zerk fittings on my mowing deck. However, it just occurred to me that you may have been referring to the coupler not being able to go deep enough into a hole or cavity to reach a deeply recessed Zerk fitting, in which case this version of the coupler might be a solution:The problem with the clamp on couplers is often they're too big to fit in the hole some designer stuck the grease nipple in...
Possibly Allube, Ltd.? I like the Alemite clear-tube models. The lever-action versions are rated at 10,000 psi, and the pistol-grip versions at 7,500 psi. Scroll down on the page to get the specs.Just trying to find somewhere to buy an alemite gun now.
Agree. It's always a good idea to check for thread compatibility. There are various lock-on-type couplers with different threads.Check the threads on those lock on couplers some imports have US type threads and will need an adapter
