I know there is no fuel batteries.
Milwaukee refer to that gauge as a fuel gage in the literature. I think this is where the fuel name comes from on there top line tool bodies.

grinder wise the <£50 ones all seem much of a muchness. one bay one brand is better the next its another brand problem is none of the are consitently good imo you'e got to balance expecations of them i think, for 115mm general use i just buy whats on offer. usally bosch, metabo, makita or hitachi.
for a heavy duity 115 or 125 mm grinder thats going to be getting some stick, ether on a motar rake or doing lots of heavy sanding its got to be hitachi but the decent one with the 1100 or 1200w motor on a 4 1/2 they will take some serious abuse but there over the £100

Fuel is definitely brushless as far as Milwaukee go. I have loads of Milwaukee tools for work.

I do too. All models I have are the fuel brushless models.
Your right I know it’s only the brushless models called fuel but I’m pretty sure they have always referred to the indicator on the battery as a fuel gage and that could be where the name originally came from.

got one of the aldi grinders, used it once, the lock button for changing the blades doesnt work now...
