Something that i haven't bought yet but definitely plan to...
Milwaukee M12 soldering iron

I keep borrowing my cousins from next door, its the handiest thing for doing vehicle wiring, or in fact pretty much anything that isn't super delicate.
And the tip isn't made of cheese like most soldering irons... Last few I've had ended up with holes in the tip because of the corrosive flux that i forget to clean off...

Another thing I've only started using is the heat shrink solder butt joint things, and a battery heat gun. What a doddle! No idea how good they are, or how long they'll last, but so easy!

Like a ring spanner on an open spanner, I think, just allows a longer lever.

Ideally put the ring end of a spanner on the fixing. Then use this on the side of the spanner and I use my two foot breaker bar in the side to apply more pressure. Use it on one side to undo and on the other to tighten. Safer than using the ring end of one spanner on the open end of the other

no excuse for hitting your hand. the hammers are well balanced and nice to use . i have 3 of the leather handled ones

I was helping to frame a roof at my gun club, when I was handed some nails from a dummy who had previously coaed them with a spray wax to make em easier to sink. First one I hit skipped off the head and put me out of commission. I said a few choice words as I through the hammer into oblivion. It was later in the year at the club's New Officer Installation Dinner, where I was presented (pizz taken) the hammer on a plaque, with the measured throw of 134 feet.
