Recommend a 9" grinder

On the lookout for a decent 9" grinder.
Id like something quality that will last me a lifetime, if possible.

I've only got a cheapie 9" grinder, as it doesn't get much use - I'm sure there will be plenty of recommendations of quality grinders.
If you want it to last a lifetime, you might be lucky ............ if you're in your 90s

bosch,makita or hilti,but none of them last like they used to.

+1 for the Bosch but make sure you get the blue one. the green ones are for DIY use

Hitachi, only brand of 9" that tends to last in our workshop.
Lasting a life time might be expecting a lot from any brand though.

I got my 9" Hitachi from ScrewFix a while back when it was on a combo deal to get the 4.5" with it for free or next to nothing. That deal might still be on. I rate them.

Always handy to have a spare little grinder, itl save time on constantly swapping between cutting/ grinding/ sanding discs!

Hi, the hitachis are good gear especially for that kind of money, but Milwaukee are king, my local welding shop recommended them to me 7 years ago, i now have several including the first ones we bought. We can't break them, they are awesome!

The Hitachi should do me well as it wont be used day in day out.

i've had recent hitachi's & they've lasted 2-4 years ,but my old '80's 9" one is still going,tried 1 millwaukee & it did 3years 1 month ,the on-line warranty was 3 years so didn't buy another .i've got 13 grinders now & just stick with makita & bosch ,yet even those don't last like they use to.anyone got experience of FEIN?

if there as good as all there other products then they will be good .expensive but good

Hilti's stuff is very good, and they've got really good follow up support if you repairs or servicing. The only catch is that there stuff is a bit pricey... but then you get what you pay for.
