I was just thinking about cutting things up (carpet, partic, that's another thread), and I thought I'd give a quick shout out for Reciprocating Saws.
Just bought one, £28 for the Saw itself, 'Tee-Tok' brand, so a proper cheapie (no I've never heard of em either) from a well known auction site, and £6 for a set of Bosch fine metal blades. I was impressed!
I wanted to cut out a section of a scrap vehicle and having struggled a year or so ago with my 115mm Angle Grinder, 'specially on the box sections, I initially bought a second-hand 9" Grinder, then realised I couldn't power it on site. This reciprocating saw is perfect, I can run it off my cheap little 2 Stroke Genny and its power consumption falls within the 850W output the Generator provides.
I've used it for probably about 30-45 mins so far and it seems just fine. Assuming its fine the second time I use it, it'll have paid for itself by then. Maybe the Blades it came with are reasonable too, I've yet to try them.
