They are mildly tuned, cam/ headwork /carb and inlet mods. 50 ish BHP.

38-40 BHP from the factory, 60BHP is not difficult to achieve with a little tweaking. They are the standard engines for the Formula 750 class cars.

theres only one track local to me now and the cost and time involved makes it prohibitive

Im building a modstox at the moment, You should look into it, they run the same engine as the rebels with a chassis like an F2 but on leaf springs , A real good budget formula!!
