rebar welding

Hello chaps not been on for a while been working away alot.i am trying to find out information how i can get into weldig rebar on site,what tickets i need if any and who is the best type of companys to go to. ie ground workers,pre cast concrete companys...At present i do a lot of prison work which involves welding rebar on to the cell frames when fitting them...Any info will be a great help....

The only people I know of who routinely weld rebar are piling contractors.

[Drains]

Last time I worked on shuttering was a prison build in the 1980s, all steel pre-formed, miles of rebar, but not a welder in site - all wired up, spacemen, etc etc.

Google steel fixers. That's the name of the game you're looking for.
