I agree with overspec on cable sizes if the budget allows, less volt drop, less heat and less waste of energy, also allows for further later additions!
Like the hot tub I got asked to install the other week. Luckily the supply cable to the garage was designed with some spare capacity so saved running a cable back to the house.
Warm cables will be ok, the worst that will happen is the cable insulation will deteriorate quicker than a cool cable, and that still may take 20 years depending on the length of time the cable is overloaded for!
