Bought a collet chuck off rdg tools for er32 sized collets. The nut seized solid on it the first time i used it, i was not happy. Sent it back to rdg and never heard a word from them, contacted them and all i got was that it was my fault it seized as i didn't know how to use it.
I told them what specific bodily oriface to shove it in and that was that. No chuck back and no refund for obviously shoddy tat. Way-anchors is what i think of rdg. They are only middle men for Chinese rubbish anyway, cut them out and go straight to aliexpress etc.
The old Moore & Wright ( IIRC?) adjustable reamers were very very good , Seem to remember them being used on the suspension bushes of an Austin Champ . IIRC you ordered in new blades in as matched sets .
I have quite a few older British and American made reamers, and although used, are all still sharp. They last a long time if you are using them right, correct slow speed and all that. A tip from Stefan Gotteswinter, is the coolant or lube you use with reamers determines the fit in the hole. If you use suds, the hole will be tighter than if you use cutting oil. I did try it with a ground dowel and a piece of alumnium billet. The hole i drilled and reamed with the soluble oil was deffo tighter than the one i did with oil.
