Reamers sharpening??

Hi all, I need some reamers sharpening, anyone know where I can get these done at reasonable cost?.

I was under the impression reamers are ground to finished size and couldn't be sharpened?....unless they are adjustable?....

They can be ground/sharpened.

Most places that sharpen saws will also do Drills and Reamers, do a search on Saw Sharpening in your area and you should be lucky

I agree, if they are ground sharpened they are going to be smaller, surely. Unless they are tapered reamers.

Parallel/chucking reamers do most (if not all) of their cutting at the end that enters the work first...

Do they reduce the length by sharpening then?,not a tool I use a lot ,we tend to keep adjustable reamers ,but i'm in maintenance not a toolroom ..

Pretty sure that's the way it'd be done... don't use chucking reamers enough myself either to have ever needed 'em sharpening but it's the end that does the work so can shorten 'em a nats and regrind the initial taper/lead in. Not that different from sharpening drills, more precision maybe but then the geometry is a bit simpler than a twist drill
