Ready to buy

Hey guys, i'm ready to get my first mig welder. I am looking at getting a "Steadymig 165".
Can anybody give me any information on these machines, ie, are they quality/reliable machines.
I know very little about mig's, so I don't know what i'm looking for in a machine.
Any info good or bad on these machines would be great, thanks.

Never heard of that machine but I note you are in New Zealand which would explain why, have you got any web links for it? & I'll check it out for you.

I'm a dumb bastard sorry, steadymig must be the model names, it appears to be made by "Weldwell". I only have the pamplet for the welder with the specifications on it, and it doesn't have a website attached.

Funny how every shop i've called has the best brand lol ,I feel like a school kid going to a used car salesman for a reliable first car.

I'm not sure what brands are available to you down there, what kind of budget are you looking at?

That looks like its made in the same factory as Clarke just badged differently, there will be tons of information on Clarke welders here.

Yep, it's a Clarke (gets around a bit that fella ).
A good mid-range machine, not in the top quality/price bracket but as good as any for the dollars. What are they in NZ dollars out of interest?

Do you know what country Clarke welders are made in?

They look Italian, but would like to know as it doesn't say on the unit
