''Some carbon dioxide cylinders contain a Dip tube to extract the liquid from the cylinder''
I though CO2 was a gas that sublimes, ie goes straight from a solid to a gaseous state without the liqiud state in between. O level chemistry from a million years ago. Is there a liquid state under high pressure, but then it would go into the reg' as a liquid
Re keys for bottles, I always have one on a piece of wire hanging on the cylinder in question, having had a frenzied search for the key for a leaky acetylene bottle years back. Most of my sheilding gas bottles have built in taps which is a great idea.
He mentions only ever use them upright, I have in the past had Argon/mix bottles mounted on their side on my mobile work station, used them like this for years with no hint of a problem, see 'Home made tools' section of this site.
