Hi all just joined up here this is my first post so go easy on me
.I am currently trying to restore a vw Scirocco gtx for trackday and road fun,i have a bit of welding i need to do before i a) fit the fuel system b) get it mot`ed here is the offending arch.
None of my friends have suitable welders ,and i am currently bidding on a clarke 185e Question is am i going to be able to run this on my home power supply, and will it be low powered enough to weld paper thin german metal ?
Have done some welding before ,had to weld in captive nut plates for the safety devices roll cage borrowed off a neighbour who has moved away now

.golf is nice but rocco is too........same engine of course, what mods do u intend to do ?still got some body parts off a gtx i cut up with a 9"grinder
