We have a manual transfer switch fitted to allow tie in of our generator for power cut situations. It is one of these, and as far as I can see from the instructions its fitted as per diagram in this link
There is an RCD on the inlet which has me stumped as-to why it keeps tripping when a load reduces.
for example. electric roller door on both stopping of opening, and stopping once closed the RCD trips. Orwhen the freezer cuts out,it trips.
its a 5.8 kva machine carrying about 3 to 4 kw of load.
Any ideas please. Non of the circuits on the house or garage are tripping any of their protective devices.
