does anyone know if its possible to buy other jaws for these types of ratchet crimps..

these are for insulated crimps.

but i could do with some for uninsulated crimps, (like below) and even better if they crimp them really good.

Problem is, as far as I know, they're not very standardised between makes. Yes, the crimping features are, but not the actual fit of the jaws into the tool.
I looked into this a while ago and since I've got a few sets of different origins I decided to stick with the Pro's Kit ones for new jaws that I might need.
All the others would be a total gamble if they fitted or not, whereas I'm fairly certain the PK ones will fit the tool I have.

they were the cheapies of ebay.....got 1/2 a drawer full...

I bought several insulated crimp tools a while ago, when they were cheap, plus the jaws for uninsulated and hex crimps, and swapped the jaws without any problems. As Frank Horton said, just get a tool for the connectors, something like:

I'd go with buying a crimper to suit the crimps, different sets of tooling are fine if you can find them when needed, then you drop one of the small retaining screws

Unless you’re building aircraft or something the crimpers are much of a muchness and cheap.

Screwfix used to carry a range. I’ve a set of motor factor ones, and a set that used to be certified. You can tell the difference in build quality etc but certainly for my application the factors ones are fine.

I used to do a lot of bnc fittings and found the standard dies never gave me the results I liked , so I just set about the standard ones with a file and slimmed them down to increase the clamp pressures until I got the results I liked , then kept the modded crimps with a pair of snips and a wire stripper in an old peli case with a big bag of connectors and a wind up torch ,,, bnc's always seem to give up in the dark.

On those small uninsulated terminals I prefer the non ratchet style, a lot lighter and compact, you can crimp the wire first making sure you have a good connection and then crimp the strain relief

Would not have insulated crimps about me. When I have to use those garbage I cut the plastic off and solder.

I have Iwis crimp and seal ratchet pliers and they are really good quality, use them all the time at work.

Also have a pair if insulated crimp pliers and a Snap-on multi head set for various uninsulated crimps.

As said above a set of pliers for each type is a lot better than swapping heads all day long.

I've seen normal insuated crimpers sold with crimp and seal connectors a lot and they are completely the wrong tool for the job..

I like the idea of interchangeable jaws but in reality there will be one you use the most and then all the others will be put somewhere and you'll spend ages looking for them.

These ones with quick release jaws look pretty good but you could probably buy a dedicated pair for each job for the same money, I suspect if you search you can find the same set unbranded for half that though
