Not been able to find any info on this point, and it's irking me now, so wondered if anyone might have a clue. With the Minors, there were two different things which might be embossed on the bow, either "Rapidor Manchester" else "New Manchester Saw". I'd always thought the latter probably occured when Herbert's were taken over in later years or when Alexander's were producing them, but it appears not, as I've seen an older machine with the latter on the bow, so I just wondered if anyone had any idea what was what with those two names/descriptions. Did it start as New Manchester when they first started production, turning later to Rapidor, or did they start with Rapidor and use the New Manchester later, else were there two different badging things going on at the same time, for some reason?
I know it's a geeky question, but it really is going to bug me 'til I get the faintest clue what the answer is.
