Cheers Andy. You're a star. Looks like they were trying their damnedest to break as much as possible when they dropped that one. Any chance you could PM me your address, and then I can work on a crappy excuse for the wife as to when and why we're coming out that way.

Decided to make new shims to the original style with this one, from 3mm ply. Farting about job to cut and shape them, but got there.

Still needed to cut a shim from gasket paper for one corner though. One shim wasn't enough, and two were too thick. Can't win.

Shelf is fitted too.

Can think of absolutely no use for that, but I thought I'd aim for something like original, with not stripping and repainting etc. This is the picture I worked from for the shelf.

Need to figure an alternate mounting arrangement for the intermediate pulley setup now though. Originally, the spindle was clamped to the rods with U-bolts and clamps, so I obviously can't do that now. Need to try and find some type of housing/casting to house the spindle.
