Hopefully gonna use the existing motor mount and just make up a plate which has holes for the imperial mounting bolt pattern and studs for the motor so I can tension by winding the nuts up or something along the lines of that, already got a hole in the wall for it to sit.
Spindle now out and things are looking better! The bushings are worn and one slid down hence the dramatic wobble so they'll be replaced, have decided to get a 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 2" one which I'll carefully turn the od down as it's about 1 11/16" and then I'll part it to make 2 ~1" long bushes like what's already there.
It seems the headstock has been apart before over it's lifetime as one of the keys is missing and spindle has grub screw marks where there shouldn't be because of said missing key so will sand them down and can replace the key with one from the CVT pulley as just so happen to be exactly the same!
