Rag Supplier

Hello helpful people.

Curretly about to finish my huge bag of rags and trying to hunt down some more and at a reasonable/fair price. The rags I have are roller towels that are cut up into square bits and I really like them as they soak up well and all uniform blue or white colour.

This is what I am talking about.

Anyway to the question I am looking for where to buy these rags or the whole roll scrap that I can just cut up and make my own.

I buy our rags from TPS (VW car parts supply network).

£6.75 plus VAT for a 20kg bag.

My wife works in a local charity shop , when donations are sorted they often have loads of stuff that isn’t suitable to put on display which is effectively scrapped,. I’ve often suggested selling bags of rags but it falls on deaf ears. For roll towels I would suggest asking your local linen hire companies, reminds me, I’m on my last one

One of the charity shops near me saves me the baby grows,they cant resale them for some unknown reason,make great rags as 100% cotton

One of the reasons I buy primark t-shirts to work in, Once they get holes in. They end up as rags

Another vote for charity shops. Approach the local ones not the national chains. Men's shirts, tee shirts and bedding are unsaleable.

They look just the ticket, screw a piece of threaded rod to a board on the wall for them to spin on and keep a stanley blade on a piece of string, will work well for me, just bought a box. Cheers

In normal times - TPS will deliver for cash payment on delivery - or pre pay with card before delivery.

While Covid is about they are only delivering to account customers (I know this because every little garage on my estate is getting me to order things and paying me). I have an account with them.

Still got quite a few rags left so I'm going to have a quick look around linen hire companies but due to convid might order these or from another supplier.

Just shy of 31 meters in one roll, haven’t used on any spillages yet.

Another for local charity shops , money goes to a great cause plus you can cut rags to the size you like ,have bought bales of rags before but alot of them I found were cut to small .

"Manufacturers" vary too. I've had old pairs of well used pants as well as items full of safety pins in them before.
