Racing wheelchair

Really taking a shot in the dark here but does anyone know where I might be able so borrow one from fairly locally? Anyone know anyone with one?
I know it's not the sort of thing that's readily available but with so many people on here if I didn't ask I'd be daft.

There's a 10k race I was planning on doing Sunday and rather than throw the entry in the bin if I can get hold of a wheelchair I'll get myself round it.
Don't fancy trying it in an NHS issue one though!

Joking aside, They are a charity, that supplies wheelchairs for disabled sportsmen, I dare say if you agreed to do a sponsorship for them they may lend you a wheelchair and it'll be for a good cause

It's a two-loop race and I was tempted to try one loop on the crutches but gave that idea up quite early!
I've got a bag of castors I bought off Gavuk, maybe I could knock something up.

Warren (I can't stop chortling that you broke your leg - Im really sorry), it won't help for the race, but as you have a few weeks on the crutches, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to learn to walk on crutches alone - no legs allowed! If I could do it, you can.

I just realised the hand wheels were removed from the rims converting to an attendant chair so the mounting lugs were machined off in the pillar drill as they chopped the house up! It's a nice relaxed ride with an attendant and makes a good camera platform...... (photos to follow)
